The famous Thepla of Gujaratis is a favourite among all Indians. How about making it more tasty, healthy and a favorite snack among kids too?
For the stuffing:
1. Hung curd maska- ½ cup
2. Mango /Lemon pickle- 1 tsp
3. Masala fermented chillies- 2 , finely chopped
4. Par boiled vegetables- 3-4 tbsp (beans,carrot, peas, flower)
5. Cucumber – 2 tsp
6. Cabbage – 2 tsp
7. Tomatoes – 2 tsp
FIRSTLY, Make bottle guard (dudhi)thepla dough using salt, oil, ginger garlic paste,turmeric and some asfoetida and bind the dough . Then roll out the rotis in big size .
Cut them into small circles using any round-shape cutter and then put it in the oven tray. Brush it with some oil and bake it in a pre-heated oven at 200* for 15 minutes.
Then take the puri size thepla bites in a serving dish, sprinkle some pickle over it, put the stuffing and garnish with grated cheese and few coriander leaves.
